The journal pursues the academic exploration of Indonesian Islamic education discourses such as schools, colleges, universities, and other Islamic educational institutions such as pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools) in Islamic education discourses. The journal promotes empirical research and theory relevant to Islamic-affiliated educational institutions. The topics of the journal cover the micro, meso, and macro levels of Islamic education, such as the philosophy, Islamic school leadership, learning strategy, curriculum, learning evaluation, inclusive education, education based on culture, and the politics of Islamic education. In the Al-Qur'an, Surah Al Imran, verse 159, it is explained that as a parent you must be gentle towards your child and provide guidance to your child with love and be able to provide direction to understand what your child can and cannot do. Peningkatan <em>soft skill </em> membuat seseorang menjadi jauh lebih baik di lingkungan kerja, mulai dari cara memimpin, berkomunikasi, berperilaku, dan mengelola pekerjaan lainnya. Di samping itu, manfaat <em>soft skill </em> adalah untuk meningkatkan networking. Keberadaan soft skiil bukan hanya pada kemampuan afektif saja tapi juga menjadi penting ketika disertai kemampuan menciptakan strategi kognitif sehingga meningkatkan kemampuan dua kompenen tersebut. Dalam pencapaian tujuan peningkatan <em>soft skill </em> sebagai hasil pembelajaran, dibutuhkan penerapan kurikulum yang sesuai. Kementrian pendidikan menerapkan kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang berbasis kebebasan berfikir dengan sasaran peningkatan <em>soft skill </em> tanpa melupakan <em>hard skill </em> yang tetap harus diperhatikan. Gender is basically a social construct or a form of society. Where it has been established in the community that women are in charge of the domestic territory which covers the provisions of the role of caring, nurturing, passivity and receiving. While men have provisions of the opposite role. In many ways, gender stereotypes are still attached between men and women. Starting from here that then lead to discrimination against women. Because not all men are able to be assertive and can ngatur, then a gentle man will be branded a sissy, whereas if women are more daring and firmly will be branded a tomboy. Terdapat berbagai model pembelajaran yang dapat dikembangkan oleh guru dikelas untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas seperti Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) menekankan pada keterkaitan antara materi pembelajaran dengan dunia kehidupan siswa secara nyata. Siswa dilatih untuk bias aktif terhadap permasalahan yang ada disekitar kehidupan mereka, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan materi pembelajaran Agama Islam. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas VIII pada bidang studi Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Bina Taruna Surabaya Tahun Pelajaran 2022-2023 dan faktor penghambat dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (Field research) yaitu penelitian yang datanya dilakukan di lapangan. Penentuan subyek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Penerapan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas VIII pada bidang studi Pendidikan Agama dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan. Pada tahap perencanaan, guru membuat RPP dan menyiapkan bahan materi diskusi. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, guru menyampaikan materi, membimbing siswa untuk aktif memberikan contoh terkait materi, membagi siswa menjadi beberapa kelompok diskusi untuk menganalisis peristiwa nyata dan actual terkait materi. Mengintruksikan siswa untuk mempresntasikan argumennya, dan mengevaluasi hasil diskusi siswa. Pada tahap evaluasi, guru menekankan pada penilaian proses saat kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung (aspek afektif melalui lembar pengamatan sikap siswa, aspek kognitif melalui penugasan dan tes, aspek psikomotorik melalui observasi kecakapan siswa saat proses diskusi dan presentasi). 2) Kendala dalam penerapan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada bidang studi Pendidikan Agama Islam meliputi dua aspek yaitu dari segi media (kurangnya kelengkapan sarana fasilitas sekolah) dan dari segi siswa (dikarenakan perbedaan karakteristik dari masing-masing siswa).</p> Ihyaul Kholid Copyright (c) 2023 Ihyaul Kholid https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2023-09-01 2023-09-01 1 1 68 82 10.54298/tarunaedu.v1i1.134 PENGUATAN MOTIVASI SHALAT DAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM https://journal.staitaruna.ac.id/index.php/jel/article/view/138 <p>Research conducted at Kawung 2 Middle School Surabaya. In this research, a sample of 32 students was taken from a population of 182 students from SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya. The method used is a descriptive method, which aims to describe the facts and the relationship between the independent variables (X1) and (X2) and the dependent variable (Y). The results of regression and correlation tests show that there is an influence of contextual learning methods in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on strengthening prayer motivation, strengthening student character, and also a combined influence on prayer motivation and student character. A contextual approach to PAI learning in schools seems to provide significant benefits. This is because this approach helps students to understand PAI better and feel its connection to their daily lives. Several findings that can be drawn from this research include: The Influence of Contextual Learning Methods on Motivation for Prayer: Research shows that the use of contextual learning methods in PAI can increase students' motivation to perform prayers. This may be because students can better understand the importance of prayer in the context of their daily lives. The Influence of Contextual Learning Methods on Strengthening Character: Apart from prayer motivation, contextual learning methods also have a positive impact on strengthening students' character. This can include enhancing moral values, ethics, and other positive attitudes related to religion. This research provides valuable insight into the importance of a contextual approach in PAI learning in schools to motivate students and strengthen their character. The aim of this research is to find out how Islamic Religious Education Teachers Efforts to Instill the Value of Honesty in Class 7 Students of Bina Taruna Surabaya Middle School for the 2022-2023 Academic Year, to observe and see the efforts of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in instilling the value of honesty in the learning process and its obstacles. Islamic Religious Education Teachers' Efforts to Instill the Value of Honesty in Grade 7 Students of Bina Taruna Surabaya Middle School for the 2022-2023 Academic Year, with the value of honesty in students really helping teachers in delivering material and assignments, therefore students can easily understand instilling the value of honesty.
