This research aims to reconstruct the calculation of fidyah based on the Rice Price Index (IHPR) by integrating contemporary fiqh perspectives, applied mathematics, and humanist economics to maintain the real value equivalence of fidyah amidst food price fluctuations. Employing a qualitative documentary case study design, the methodology utilizes content analysis, comparative document evaluation, and mathematical formulation of institutional guidelines, fiqh texts, and empirical rice pricing data. The core novelty lies in shifting from static nominal-based calculations to a dynamic value-equivalence model using the index adjustment formula , ensuring transparent and proportional updates. The findings indicate that fidyah functions as an essential instrument for Islamic socioeconomic redistribution rather than a mere ritual substitution, bridging normative obligations with economic realities. The implications suggest that religious and zakat management institutions must adopt adaptive, data-driven determination mechanisms to strengthen transparency, accountability, and distributive justice in alignment with maqāṣid al-syarī'ah principles.
